Blur detection on the Casio EXILIM EX-Z33
Using blur detection technology, the Casio EX-Z33 can automatically take a photo the instant that hand shake or subject movement stops, even without the need to push the shutter button. This reduces photo blur caused by the movement involved in pressing the shutter. The Casi Exilim Z33 will also automatically release the shutter at the moment of a smile or the moment subject blur ceases in a panning shot. A shot can also be taken the moment the user’s face fills the frame when taking a self-portrait.
Face recognition
The Face Detection function on the EX-Z33 allows users to detect the presence of people’s faces, and then, prior to shooting, the digital camera automatically recognizes the pre-registered face or faces that should be most clearly photographed, and gives those faces priority for correct focus and exposure.
Digital camera operation
The settings menu in the easy mode has been pared down to just three items – flash, self timer and image size – making it even for beginners easy to understand and use the Casio Z33. The Z33 digital camera comes with a highly visible 2.5 inch widescreen display. Information on camera settings is displayed in the “Control Panel” on the right hand edge of the screen, so settings can be changed quickly and easily.
YouTube capture mode on the Casio Z33
The Casio EX-Z33 camera offers YouTube Capture Mode, which records and saves movies at the ideal settings for the world’s largest video sharing site, YouTube. Recorded video can be easily uploaded to YouTube using the special included computer software.
TrustedReviews writes:
“For a cheap budget compact the camera offers decent build quality, simplicity of use and surprisingly good performance, but its very poor low light focusing and disappointing image quality are serious handicaps. Better to save up a few more pounds and get something a bit more capable.”
Steve’sDigicams writes:
“For an entry-level camera, the low and mid ISO settings are very good. ISO 64 – 400 are sharp enough to show fine details, such as the stitching in the flag, while noise doesn’t become apparent until ISO 400. Although the noise at ISO 1600 really hurts the quality of the image, ISO 800 is not too bad and works for smaller prints.”
