The company distinguishes the Canon Powershot A2400 IS for its optical image stabilizer technology, DIGIC III image processor, face detection technology and red eye effect correction with a mention of its built in lens cover and scratch resistant, anti reflective LCD screen.
The A2400 features Canon’s Smart Auto feature which will automatically detect 32 different scenes and can be accessed instantly from any shooting mode with one press of the new Auto button. It will come with the 16 megapixel sensor, 28mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom, DIGIC 4 processor and ability to capture 720p video.
This camera is capable of shooting 720p movies and come complete with a dedicated Movie Record button. A new Auto control gives instant access to Smart Auto mode, while six creative effects, including Miniature and Monochrome can be applied with the touch of a button.
